Jaimie Ronchetto, DVM – Owner

Dr. Jaimie Ronchetto grew up in the Santa Clarita Valley. A graduate of Hart High School, Dr. Ronchetto went on to earn her undergraduate BS degree from UC Davis, and then graduated with Honors from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. As a Ross University graduate, each student spends their final year of study at a state-side vet school. Dr. Ronchetto spent her final year of study at the famous Cornell University Hospital for Animals, rotating through each department of both small and large animal clinics. Upon graduation, Dr. Ronchetto moved back to her hometown to practice. She opened Cinema Veterinary Centre in 2012 with the aim of giving dogs, cats, and pocket pets outstanding quality care in the areas of medicine and surgery. She never wants to stop learning and looking for new ways to help her patients live full and healthy lives. In this quest for knowledge, she has most recently attended Chi University in Florida to get her certification in Veterinary Acupuncture. She also has an interest in learning more about Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine and Food Therapy as a complement to Western medicine. When not at CVC she enjoys time spending with her family and friends, gardening, baking, or finding some creative Pinterest project to work on. She currently shares her home with three cats: a Siamese named Preston who rules the house, a little Persian named Seamus, and a shy orange tabby named Pretty Girl. She currently has puppy fever so don’t be surprised if she asks you what rescue or breeder you may have gotten your adorable new friend from!

Amber Wheelbarger, DVM

Dr. Wheelbarger enjoys caring for all types of animals from dogs and cats to birds, reptiles and small mammals. She takes pride in helping the people of her home town. As a graduate of Saugus High she loves seeing the faces of people she has known most of her life become her clients. She is a Biology graduate from Cal State University Northridge and graduated top of her class from Veterinary School at the University of Minnesota. She has a great passion for wildlife and conservation. She was an intern at the Minnesota Zoo, volunteered at the world-renowned Raptor Center and treated wildlife cases for four years. Now she brings over twenty years of experience to every case she cares for and loves to add to her knowledge with continuing education.

A member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians since 1999, she is also a member of the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians and the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians along with AVMA and CVMA. Dr Wheelbarger has had special training in Canine and Feline Ultrasound and Dentistry as well as Avian and Exotic Animal Medicine and Surgery. When not at work, she loves spending time with her family, human and animal – which includes a 33 year old Amazon parrot, a husband, one lab, three rescue cats and three kids. She believes no animal is too big or too small, or too common or too exotic to deserve compassionate, quality veterinary care.

Alexandra, RVT – Technician Manager

Our Technician Manager Alex has been with us since 2019, starting as a student intern in her final year of college. Attending Pierce College’s RVT program led her to us and we are so grateful. Her dedication to the animals and as a hard worker has made her our Technician Manager leading the team in the back. She says she loves Veterinary Medicine because it allows her to be able to apply medical knowledge and science while working with the animals and helping them. She is soon to sit for her RVT Exam and we are all rooting her on. She especially loves working with the exotics and pocket pets and wants to pursue working with various species. She currently lives with her cat Tom, dog Seamus, Hamster Ymir, several parakeets and hissing cockroaches! When not leading the team and caring for your critters you can find Alex riding horses and volunteering her time teaching kids how to ride with the California Rangers Equestrian Team. Or maybe you would find her taking a walk with her very talented cat Tom or going on shopping adventures with her sisters.

Caitlin

Veterinary Assistant Cate has worked with us at CVC since 2018. She has become an integral part of our Assistant team with her upbeat nature and speedy work. She is the go to for crabby kitties and unappreciative doggies. She compares Veterinary Medicine to detective work, saying it has become her passion to help other species that can’t tell us where they hurt. They don’t always understand what is going on and that is why she finds it so rewarding to help them. She has completed her RVT college program and is studying to sit for her exam. At home she hangs with her two Goldens, Molly and Jameson and her handsome little chiweenie, Bentley. In freetime Cate enjoys snowboarding, wakeboarding, anything outdoors and adventurous, and just hanging out with her friends. We are grateful she hangs with us!

She is on loan to us and working as a Technicians Assistant while waiting to attend Colorado State University under her ROTC scholarship, preparing to serve as an Army Veterinarian. Also the knowledge gained, learned and practiced each day working in a clinic keeps her coming back for more. She looks forward to the day she deploys for the Army to amazing places while she gets to practice good medicine along the way! Right now she shares her life with two cats, Jack and Honey, a ball python named Monty, a Hognose named Miss Hissy Pissy and a myriad of fish. She enjoys horseback riding, singing and painting.
